Nope, It’s Not a Pre-wed Shoot

We had been planning for a simple couple photoshoot session with my mom and dad in some of the photos. But we had always wondered if we could get both casual-themed as well as kimono photos and it turned out… we could! We took the 3 Hours and 30 Minutes Photoshoot Session in which the shoot was divided into 1 hour of casual-themed photo shoot and 2 hours and 30 minutes of preparation as well as photoshoot for the kimono-wearing session.

So, we got up early in the morning for the beautiful morning lighting to do the 1 hour casual shoot at Nanzenji Temple then, proceeded to the kimono store at noon where we changed into our kimono and did a 2 hours and 30 minutes of the second session at Yasaka Pagoda. Overall, this photoshoot session is just the perfect plan for our long-planned photoshoot goals in Japan.

Nanzenji is no ordinary temple, it has calming yet unique features and A LOT of beautiful spots to snap some shots. Too bad that we couldn’t come in autumn or spring for the Sakura season since we were only available in the winter but, alas… winter has its own charm too.

Time for Kimono

After spending an hour in Nanzenji Temple in which we also took some of our own photos and videos for our reels and TikTok, we headed to our most-awaited place, the kimono store. All of us couldn’t hide the excitement in our smiles as we were heading to our next location as it was like one of the highlights of our trip.

Getting Ready

Once arrived, me and my love quickly changed into our own kimonos and took photos in Yasaka Pagoda or also known as The Tower of Yasaka.

It Was So Natural

Since we are usually awkward posing in front of the camera (and the people walking around us), we requested for candid photos and our smiles turned out to be so natural.

To put the cherry on top, that day was wrapped up by a beautiful sunset painting the traditional-style street of Yasaka Pagoda.
